A Brief History of Evans Hall

Evans is conveniently located to Bell Field, a center of both recreational and competitive athletic life at Carleton. In 2012, Evans underwent a significant remodel that resulted in the abolition of its columnar structure in favor of a floor-based room arrangement. "The Cave" on the ground floor of Evans hosts fun student events themed around music and dancing. Evans boasts Sophomore and Junior residents from around the world who live together across 5 floors of residential space.

These photographs demonstrate Evans' transition from an unfinished construction site to a prestigious and sought-after dormitory.
